David Harris has a diverse and extensive work experience. David began their career at CoreFirst Bank & Trust in 1992, where they served as a VP & Branch Sales Manager for ten years. In 2002, they joined the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka, starting as an AVP & Senior Strategist. During this time, they implemented the bank's strategic plan for member products and services and provided guidance and mentoring to their team members. In 2008, they were promoted to the role of VP & Director of Lending, where they directed the activities of the Lending Services department and managed the bank's internal call center. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of VP & Director of Institutional Sales, responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies. Most recently, they took on the role of VP & Key Account Director, where they serve as a contact for the bank's larger borrowers.
David Harris completed a Diploma of Graduation in Banking from the Graduate School of Banking Colorado from 2005 to 2007. David also attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2009, where they studied Transformation Leadership. In 2004, they attended the Advanced School of Banking (KBA/NBA), followed by Asset & Liability Management (ACB) in 2003. David obtained a Certificate in Commercial Lending School (KBA/NBA) in 2001. Additionally, they attended the School of Lending Principals in 1999. Prior to these experiences, David Harris earned a BA in Sports Medicine from Washburn University from 1987 to 1992. David completed their high school education at Shawnee Heights from 1983 to 1987.
