Donald R. Abernathy

Abernathy is currently the Senior Vice President of Legacy Bank and served as President and CEO of The Bankers Bank since1993. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and has been active in the banking industry in the Oklahoma City Metroplex for nearly 40 years. He is a past chairman of the Oklahoma Bankers Association and serves on the board of directors for the Community Bankers Association of Oklahoma, Bankers Banc Investment Securities and other industry and charity groups. He is also a past board member of the Independent Community Bankers Association and served on the Government Relations Committee and Community Bankers Council for the American Bankers Association.
