Mark Yardley joined FHLBank Topeka as internal auditor in October 1984. He was named first senior vice president and director of finance in 1999, Chief Financial Officer in December 1999 and executive vice president in 2005. He became Chief Risk Officer in June 2010 before accepting the role of interim president and CEO on January 1, 2017 and permanent president and CEO on March 24, 2017. A certified public accountant, Yardley is a member of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to joining FHLBank, he worked for a national public accounting firm, holding several auditing positions. He graduated summa cum laude from Washburn University, Topeka, with a degree in business administration with an accounting emphasis. He is a trustee and director for the Washburn University Foundation, serving as the chair of its audit committee. He is also treasurer at Topeka Bible Church, a trustee for University of Kansas Health Systems – St. Francis Campus and an at-large member of the Greater Topeka Partnership Chairs Council.
