Anthony Acocella is an experienced legislative affairs professional with a strong background in governmental and policy-related roles. Currently serving as a Senior Legislative Affairs Advisor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers since February 2019, Anthony has also held the position of Assistant Director for Legislative Affairs at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security since May 2006. Prior to these roles, Anthony worked as a Legislative Assistant for the Tennessee General Assembly from January 2005 to May 2006 and as a Legislative Aide for Senators Lisa and Frank Murkowski from December 2002 to December 2004 and August 1999 to December 2002, respectively. Anthony earned a Bachelor of Arts in World Politics from The Catholic University of America, graduating in 1996.

The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) serves as an interagency law enforcement training organization for more than 118 federal agencies or participating organizations. In addition, FLETC provides training and training resources to state, local, tribal, territorial, campus, and international law enforcement. As a Component of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FLETC’s mission is crucial for our Nation’s protection.
