Walter Sparks is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in law enforcement, training, and security management. Currently serving as a Law Enforcement Specialist Instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers since January 2023, Walter previously directed security operations for the Grey Fox Bluegrass Music Festival since 1996, ensuring the safety of over 6,500 attendees annually. As a Master Trainer at Inverness Technologies from 2012 to 2020, Walter excelled in delivering comprehensive training programs for military personnel, facilitating Career Transition Workshops for over 10,000 transitioning service members. Walter also held roles as a Benefit Consultant and District Sales Manager at Aflac New York, where contributions included business development and new associate training, and served as a State Trooper with the New York State Police from 1986 to 2007, focusing on training new recruits. Walter holds educational credentials from SUNY Schenectady County Community College, Bryant & Stratton College, and The Johns Hopkins University.

In addition, FLETC provides training and training resources to state, local, tribal, territorial, campus, and international law enforcement.
