Hanno Renner is the Co-Founder and CEO of Personio since June 2015, focused on developing an automated People Operating System for small and mid-sized organizations to enhance their HR processes. In December 2021, Hanno co-founded and became Chairman of the Personio Foundation, which supports nonprofit initiatives in climate action and education. Hanno serves as a board member for the "Junge Digitale Wirtschaft" at the Federal Ministry for Economics and Climate Action since July 2022. Additionally, Hanno co-founded Feedbackme in 2015, which aimed to digitalize feedback for presentations. Hanno has extensive educational credentials, including a Visiting Graduate Student degree from Columbia University, an Honours Degree from CDTM, and a Master of Science from the Technical University of Munich. Hanno also has sailing experience as a Skipper of Sailing Yachts from 2013 to 2016, holding a qualification as RYA Yachtmaster.

The major trends of the 21st century, notably globalisation, digitisation, demographic change, recent developments within the EU, and climate change all represent major challenges for German business to tackle. If we are to successfully address these issues, we need to develop our social market economy into a social-ecological market economy. This is the over-arching task for the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
