Johannes Wenisch is an experienced professional in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science, currently serving as Head of AI & BI and Head Of Reporting & Data Systems at the Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF) since July 2018. Prior roles include being a Lead Data Scientist and Project Head for the Bayerisches Landesamt für Steuern, where Johannes developed Java EE applications for tax authorities, alongside operations management for the Bavarian fiscal authority's data center. Johannes also worked as an IT trainer from December 2011 to November 2020, specializing in Java and data science trainings. Early career experience includes an internship at Finanzamt Würzburg. Academic credentials include an MBA from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and a Diplom-Finanzwirt from HföD Herrsching.
