René Matthäi is an experienced IT quality management professional with a strong background in software quality assurance and testing. Currently serving as Referent IT für IT-Qualitätsmanagement at Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF) since March 2020, Matthäi previously worked as a Software Quality Expert at DATEV eG, where responsibilities included developing organizational quality strategies for cloud-native development and enhancing company-wide quality standards. With a history at evosoft GmbH spanning over a decade, Matthäi held multiple roles, including Portfoliomanager & Testarchitekt, Teamleiter, Software Test Consultant, and Software Test Engineer, contributing to software quality, team management, and testing strategies. Earlier, Matthäi was a Berater Software-Test at univativ GmbH, involved in creating a generic testing concept for Siemens RD IT. René Matthäi holds a Diplom in Theoretische und mathematische Physik from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
