Andrew Grindrod

Andrew Grindrod is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the Eastern District of Virginia since February 2015. Prior to this role, Grindrod held the position of Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP from October 2013 to January 2015 and worked as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Paul S. Diamond at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania from September 2012 to August 2013. Grindrod began a legal career as a Summer Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in the summer of 2011 and has also served as a Research Assistant for Professor Scott Dodson and a Summer Clerk for the Honorable Michael Erdos, both in 2010. Earlier experience includes a Graduate Fellowship at The Institute for Bill of Rights Law and a Paralegal role at Robinson & Lawing, LLP. Grindrod earned a Juris Doctor degree with High Honors from the University of Chicago Law School in 2012 and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Wake Forest University in 2008, along with studies at the University of St Andrews in 2008.
