Julie began their career at Deloitte & Touche in 2001 as a Consultant in their Enterprise Risk Services – Controls Assurance and Internal Audit practice. In 2003, they were promoted to Senior Consultant in their Enterprise Risk Services – Data, Quality, & Integrity practice. In 2005, they were again promoted to Manager of Enterprise Risk Services – Data, Quality, & Integrity. And in 2008, they became a Senior Manager in their Enterprise Risk Services – Accounting, Valuation, & Analytics practice. Julie remained with Deloitte for 11 years until they left in 2012 to join Carter's | OshKosh B'gosh as their Director of Internal Audit.

At Carter's | OshKosh B'gosh, Julie was quickly promoted to Senior Director of Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management – CAE in 2014 and then to Vice President of Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management – CAE in 2017. Julie remained with the company for 8 years until they joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta in 2020.

Julie Schoen Hower has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting & MIS from Florida International University - College of Business.
