Michael Pieropan

Michael Pieropan is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. Currently serving as Finance Director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston since June 2020, Michael leads the financial operations for the FedNow initiative, a pioneering real-time payment service set to launch in 2023-2024. Prior to this role, Michael was a Vice President at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from August 2013 to December 2019, where responsibilities included overseeing Private Bank offices in multiple cities as Market CFO, along with participation in the Finance Associate Leadership Program. Michael also gained valuable experience as a Research Analyst at The Brattle Group from 2006 to 2011, contributing to strategic consulting and expert testimony in finance. Michael holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Economics and Public Policy from Swarthmore College.
