Steven Fay is a vice president in the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit (SRC) department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. In this role, Steven is responsible for designing and directing the supervision of large financial organizations.

Previously, Steven was an assistant vice president in SRC where he served as the central point of contact for the supervisory program for the U.S. operations of a large foreign financial organization. Steven joined the Bank as a research assistant in the Research department in 1997 and in 2001 transferred to SRC. Steven was also a member of Federal Reserve System oversight groups, including the Large Foreign Banking Organization Risk Coordination Group and Large Foreign Banking Organization Cybersecurity Oversight Group. Steven’s prior leadership roles include capital planning lead, coordinator, and central point of contact for TIAA, Basel.

Steven holds a bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College in economics and an MBA from Bentley University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and received the 2013 William Taylor Award for Excellence in Banking Supervision.
