Farhan Akbar

Farhan Akbar is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in regulatory supervision and bank management. Currently serving as a Senior Large Bank Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago since January 2023, Farhan previously held the position of Senior Manager at Discover Financial Services from December 2020 to January 2023. Prior roles include Vice President at M&T Bank, Credit Risk Manager at BMO Financial Group, and Assistant Director/Economist at the State Bank of Pakistan. Farhan Akbar holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Finance and a Master's Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, along with an MBA in Finance from the University of Sindh.
