Javier Fernandez

Javier Fernandez is an experienced executive with a robust background in finance and leadership. Currently serving on the Board of Directors at Ameritas since September 2022, Javier has held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at Omaha Public Power District since June 2017, where responsibilities also included the Chief Financial Officer role. Additionally, Javier serves as a Director on the Board of Directors at the Omaha Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City since January 2020. Javier's prior experience includes key financial leadership positions at Bonneville Power Administration and D.A. Davidson & Co., along with a Vice President role at Seattle-Northwest Securities. Javier's academic credentials include an MBA in Finance and Strategy and an MBA in Finance from Yale University, as well as a B.S. in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
