Drew Koenig

Drew Koenig has a diverse work experience in the field of information security. Drew currently holds the position of Principal Security Architect at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, where they provide expertise in security architectures, application security, and risk analysis.

Drew also has experience as a Podcast Host for the Security In Five Podcast, where they communicate information security news and tips in a user-friendly format.

Drew worked as a CSV Solutions Architect at Cognizant Softvision, focusing on enterprise security program initiatives. Prior to that, they served as an Enterprise Security Architect at UnitedHealth Group, reviewing code and developing security compliance plans.

Drew has also held leadership roles such as Director of Information Security and Risk Management at Univita Health Inc, where they were responsible for the overall information security program.

Before that, they served as the Director of Identity & Access Management Operations at Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., and as a pre-sales Principal Consultant at CA, specializing in Identity Access Management.

Drew began their career as an Information Security Engineer at Wells Fargo and as a Web Application Developer at Interactive Quality Services, where they conducted web stress tests and analyzed web application transactions.

Drew Koenig attended Minnesota State University, Mankato from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a degree in Computer Science. Drew also has additional certifications in Certified Security Studio Analyst (CSSA) from 20/20 Secure and CEH, CEPT, and CPT from InfoSec Institute, all obtained in 2017.
