John Yanish began their career in 1987 as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Minnesota Supreme Court. In 1988, they joined Petersen, Tews and Squires as an Attorney. In 1995, they joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis as an Attorney, eventually becoming Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, and Ethics Officer. Concurrently, in 2009, they also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota Law School.
John Yanish attended the University of Minnesota Law School from 1984 to 1987, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in 1987. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government at the University of Minnesota from 1980 to 1984.
