Christopher Maher is an accomplished leader in the banking and finance sectors, serving as the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of OceanFirst Financial Corp and OceanFirst Bank since March 2013. In addition, Maher holds significant roles at Monmouth University as the Chair of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer, and has been involved with the New Jersey Bankers Association in various leadership capacities since May 2016. Maher also serves on the Board of Trustees and as Treasurer for the Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation, and is the Chairman of the Board for the OceanFirst Foundation. With a long-standing commitment to charitable organizations, Maher has been a member of the Board of Directors for Helen Keller Services for the Blind since 1998. Past positions include leadership roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Patriot National Bancorp, and Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh. Maher holds a Graduate Certificate in Banking from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce and a degree from Franklin & Marshall College.
