Terry Harris has a wealth of experience in the field of information technology. Terry began their career at Premier Systems where they worked as a programmer, developing an early mainframe-based email system and a proprietary dynamic file system. Terry then moved on to Smith's Industries Aerospace & Defense, where they worked as a programmer on MRP II systems and provided PC and network support. Terry joined Explosives Technologies International, Inc. as a Programmer/Analyst, responsible for MRP II programming and later branching out into networking and PC support.
Terry then worked at CGI as a Sr. Consultant, providing information technology infrastructure implementation and architectural design services for enterprise customers. At Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, Terry served as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing technology implementations and participating in international design and architecture groups. Terry then joined De Lage Landen Financial Services as the Chief Technology Officer, leading global technical infrastructure and managing a team responsible for IT infrastructure across multiple sites and for thousands of employees.
Following their time at De Lage Landen Financial Services, Terry worked as an Architecture and Infrastructure Consultant at Synthes, a global medical devices company. Terry specialized in infrastructure architecture, standardization, and globalization services. Finally, Terry currently holds the position of SVP and CIO, Information Technology Services at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, leading the IT function for the Third District of the United States Federal Reserve Bank.
Terry Harris attended Virginia Tech from 1983 to 1986, studying Computer Science and Mathematics. The specific degree obtained is not mentioned.
