Brian McLaughlin

Brian McLaughlin is president of Enterprise Community Development, Inc., one of the country’s largest nonprofit developer, owner and operator of affordable housing with more than 500 employees and 21,000 residents. McLaughlin also leads the Community Development Division of Enterprise Community Partners, a national nonprofit that develops community-based programs, advocates for affordable housing policy, and invests capital to build and preserve affordable homes.

McLaughlin previously served as founding CEO of Lantian Development, a $100M+ private real estate investment and development firm headquartered in Maryland. McLaughlin is also the former assistant secretary of Maryland’s Department of Housing and Community Development and spent 9 years at Fannie Mae in various roles that included leading the company’s short sale product line and directing the executive office as special assistant to the president and CEO.

McLaughlin serves on the board of the Northern Virginia Affordable Housing Alliance and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta. He is an honors graduate of Duke University and holds a master’s degree in city planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in economics from American University.
