Denita Hubbard

Lead IT Auditor at Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond

Denita Hubbard has over 15 years of work experience in the field of IT and system security. Denita started their career at Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer and Project Management Officer. Denita then worked at General Dynamics as a Systems Engineer. Denita later joined Solutions Made Simple Inc. as a Systems Engineer with a focus on ETL. Denita then transitioned to SAIC where they worked as a Systems Security Engineer, providing guidance on implementing system security requirements and conducting reviews to ensure compliance with Nist controls. Currently, they are working as a Lead IT Auditor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.

Denita Hubbard, CISA, holds a Master's Degree in Information Technology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, which they obtained from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems and Decision Science from Virginia State University, completing their studies from 1999 to 2003. Denita has also pursued additional certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Denita obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in August 2012. In September 2021, they obtained the Certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. Additionally, in November 2021, they earned the Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager certification from the same institution.
