Kathleen Travis serves as Legal Counsel and previously as Associate Legal Counsel at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond since August 2016, following a Legal Intern position at the same institution in 2015 during which legal research and contract drafting were primary responsibilities. Prior experience includes an internship at the Office of the Governor for the Commonwealth of Virginia, where Kathleen conducted legal research and reviewed proposed regulations, and a research assistant role at the University of Richmond supporting law faculty. Earlier in their career, Kathleen worked as a Mathematics Teacher for Chesterfield County Public Schools and held various administrative and assistive roles at Virginia Commonwealth University. Kathleen holds a Master of Laws in Tax Law from New York University School of Law and a Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Psychology, and Physics from Virginia Commonwealth University.
