Douglas Kandl

Douglas Kandl is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Cyber Risk, Training and Compliance Branch Chief at the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board since September 2018. Prior to this role, Douglas held positions at DISA as the Cyber Security Team Lead and at the US Army Cyber Center of Excellence as the Cyber Security Division Chief and Cyber Security Specialist. Additional experience includes working as a Cyber Security Analyst for the State of NY Metropolitan Transportation Authority and as a Cyber Security Software Evangelist at Checkmarx. Douglas also founded and served as President of Masorti on Campus and had internships at PSEG, Alloy Media + Marketing, Standard & Poor's, and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Educationally, Douglas holds a Master of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Information Security, both from Pace University.
