Xavier Sutherland is a highly skilled cybersecurity and network engineering professional with extensive experience in various roles across military and federal sectors. Currently serving as a Cyber Network Defender in the US Army Reserves since July 2023, Xavier specializes in threat detection, incident analysis, and the use of cyber defense tools. In addition, as the Lead Network Engineer for the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board, Xavier manages network documentation and device inventories. Previous experience includes serving as a Watch Officer for the U.S. Department of State, overseeing crisis management and coordinating incident responses, and roles in vulnerability research, petroleum engineering, and software development. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Software Engineering from Penn State University and an Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming from Palm Beach State College.
