Darlene Mottley

Darlene Mottley is an attorney currently serving at the Federal Trade Commission since November 2023. Prior to this role, Darlene worked at Legal Services NYC from August 2018 to October 2023, first as a Senior Staff Attorney in the Homeowner and Consumer Rights Project, where Darlene advised and defended clients on foreclosure, consumer, and economic justice issues, and previously as a Staff Attorney in the Tenant Rights Coalition, focusing on eviction and housing rights. Darlene started at Legal Services NYC as a legal extern for the Foreclosure Prevention Project and has held various internship roles that provided significant legal research and advocacy experience. Darlene received a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from Hunter College.
