Joseph Neely

Joseph Neely is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Counsel to the Director of the Bureau of Competition at the Federal Trade Commission since October 2014. In addition to this role, Joseph Neely holds the rank of Captain and serves as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army Reserve since March 2021, after completing the Direct Commission Course and Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course. Prior legal experience includes a Summer Honors Legal Internship at the Federal Trade Commission and a Judicial Internship at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Joseph Neely began a career in education as a High School Social Studies Teacher with Teach For America from June 2009 to June 2011. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from the University of Miami.
