Eduardo Fraga

Eduardo Fraga is an accomplished academic and industry expert in Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, and Finance, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the State University of Rio de Janeiro since August 2008 and as a Professor at COPPE/UFRJ since June 2017. Fraga has significant experience in scientific research, focusing on Machine Learning applications in insurance and finance as a researcher at FGV EMAp. Previously held various leadership roles at SUSEP, including Director responsible for innovation and market conduct analysis, and was instrumental in the development of regulatory frameworks such as Open Finance/Open Insurance. Fraga began a career in actuarial roles at Willis Towers Watson and SUSEP, contributing to significant advancements in solvency systems for the insurance market. Fraga's educational background includes a PhD and MSc in Finance and Statistical Modelling from COPPEAD UFRJ and a degree in Actuarial Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
