Kristien Smedts

Kristien Smedts is an experienced finance professional currently serving as an Independent Board Member at FEDERALE Assurance-Verzekering since May 2024 and as a Member of the Investment Committee at Stichting Lokaal Fonds. Additionally, Kristien holds the position of Board Member at ASL and serves on the Investment Committee at ONDRAF/NIRAS, both since 2021. An established academic, Kristien has been a Professor in Finance at KULeuven since October 2005. Prior to current roles, Kristien was a Member of the Supervisory Board and Audit Committee at FSMA from June 2017 to May 2024.
