Dr. Ian Roberts is currently the FIA Formula 1 Medical Delegate and Chief Medical Officer for F1, as well as Vice President of the Medical Commission and F1 Medical Rescue Coordinator, with experience at the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile since January 2013. Dr. Roberts co-founded Signal Biometrics in April 2016, serving as Director and developing innovative wearable sensing technologies for monitoring complex environments, including a biometric glove for Formula One drivers. Additionally, Dr. Roberts has been a Medical Consultant in Critical Care Medicine and Anaesthesiology at the NHS since August 1998. Educational qualifications include an MB ChB in Medicine from the University of Leicester, FRCA and FFICM from the Royal College of Anaesthetists, and a Pg Dip Law from Nottingham Law School.
