Hannah Hethmon

Hannah Hethmon is a Communications Manager currently at the Federation of State Humanities Councils, a role assumed in October 2024. Previously, Hethmon held the same title at the Landscape Architecture Foundation from December 2023 to October 2024. As the Owner and Executive Producer at Better Lemon Creative Audio from August 2018 to December 2023, Hethmon produced podcasts for various cultural institutions, including the UK National Archives and the Smithsonian Institution. Hethmon also served as a Fulbright Fellow, studying Icelandic and researching museum culture, and worked as a Membership Marketing Coordinator for the American Association for State and Local History. Early career experience includes marketing coordination at Granite Grannies, Inc. and digital manuscript work at the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies. Hethmon holds a Master of Arts in Viking and Medieval Norse Studies from Háskóli Íslands and a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Maryland, complemented by additional professional training in archives and project management.
