Tom Barber

Tom Barber is an experienced First Officer currently employed at FedEx since March 2021, following a tenure in the same role at United Airlines from October 2018 to March 2021. Prior to his commercial aviation career, Tom served in the US Navy from July 2010 to July 2018, where significant leadership roles included Commander and Deputy Commander of Carrier Air Wing Two, overseeing extensive operations and training for 74 aircraft and 1,900 personnel, and as Head Aviation Detailer at the US Navy Personnel Command, managing the careers of over 10,500 Naval aviators. Additionally, Tom commanded Strike Fighter Squadron 25 during a six-month combat deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, managing substantial resources and personnel. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Colorado State University and a Master of Arts in Military Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.
