Massimo Zonca

Massimo Zonca has a diverse and extensive work experience in the packaging industry. Massimo is currently the Packaging R&D and Innovation Director at Fedrigoni Paper, where they are involved in the establishment of the new Fedrigoni Innovation Center in Verona. Massimo provides expertise in food packaging solutions development and works with Brand Owners and OEMs in using paper, cardboard, and pulp materials.

Prior to this, Massimo worked as an independent expert consultant specializing in international food packaging and food process technologies. Massimo offered their expertise and knowledge in food packaging materials, machinery, operations, and food contact. Massimo also had a strong focus on packaging innovation and led the product lifecycle and post-launch enhancements.

Massimo's previous experience includes working at The Kraft Heinz Company, where they held various roles in research and development. Massimo led global packaging innovation and efficiency projects, including securing capital investment for a new high-speed packaging line for infant biscuit production. Massimo also collaborated with R&D affiliates and European supply chain functions to drive initiatives on packaging innovation, cost reduction, and quality improvement.

Massimo Zonca has a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Technology from Università degli Studi di Milano, which they obtained from 1985 to 1999. In 2020, they completed a short course at AIBO - Associazione Italiana Business Operator, specializing in Food Contact Expert (Reg EU 1935/2004). In 2016, they attended a Short Course at North Carolina State University on ASEPTIC PROCESSING OF FLUID & PARTICULATE FOODS AND INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION. Additionally, in 2017, they completed a Master in Public Speaking at Massimilano Cavallo, Luca Ward. Before their higher education, they earned a degree as a Perito Chimico Industriale in Chimica industriale from Istitut Tecnico Industriale G.Natta - Bergamo from 1978 to 1983.
