John Blair

John Blair was appointed to the role of Director, Management Accounting and Budget in September 2009, Chief Finance Officer in March 2011 and from January 2014 to the Chief Operating Officer / CFO with Federation University Australia. He is responsible for managing, directing and advising on all aspects of the financial position of the University.

John has extensive experience in complex organisations, having occupied senior roles in local government in the UK. He has focused on transforming teams into excellent outwardly-focused service providers.

John is a qualified accounting member of the Institute Chartered Public and Financial Accountants (CIPFA) - CIPFA is the only professional accountancy body exclusively dedicated to public finance in the world.
