Alex Ebben

Process Sales / Chemical Engineer at Feeco International

Alex Ebben has worked in the engineering field since 2013. In 2013, they began as a Chemical Engineer Co-op at NewPage Corporation, where they audited and monitored wound-in tension on all winders, and helped transform a paper machine to achieve FDA compliance and produce specialty grade paper. Alex also converted basic dyes in the base sheet to pigmented dyes and introduced a new pre-58 pigmented dye blend to coated paper. In 2015, Alex joined Catalyst Paper as a Process Availability Leader, where they worked to determine where the paper machine could improve from an efficiency and runnability stand point. Alex also troubleshot problems with camera systems and reports, and participated and functioned in team meetings with both management and union employees. In 2016, Alex began working at FEECO International, Inc. as a Process Sales / Chemical Engineer, where they sized, designed, and costed thermal processing equipment specializing in both direct and indirect kilns, dryers, coolers, and thermal oxidizers. Alex also ran bench top and pilot scale thermal testing with customers for proof of product and process, and assisted other areas where needed including material handling, agglomeration, process controls, and lab supervising.

Alex Ebben attended Bay Port High School from 2005 to 2009. Alex then transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 2010 and completed their Undergraduate Transfer Program in 2011. Alex then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a BS in Chemical Engineering.
