Elizabeth Pettengill

Senior Director, New Corporate Partnerships at Feeding America

Elizabeth (Marquardt) Pettengill has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Elizabeth began their career at the University of Washington School of Public Health as a Project Coordinator in the International Health Program. Elizabeth then worked at the North Carolina Department of Environment, Health, and Natural Resources as a Staff Researcher in the Early Detection Subcommittee/Advisory Committee on Cancer Coordination and Control.

Pettengill then joined the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago as a Managing Editor, specifically working on the Project on Ethical Issues in Home Health Care. Elizabeth later held the position of Director at the IAV/Center for Marriage and Families, where they led projects on child well-being and family systems and secured grants from foundations. Elizabeth also served as the Director, Foundation Relations at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, managing relationships with foundations.

Currently, Pettengill is associated with Feeding America, where they have held various roles. Elizabeth started as a Senior Manager, Foundation Relations, fundraising for and managing foundation partners and prospects. After that, they became the Director of New Corporate Partnerships in the Central Region and eventually transitioned into the role of Senior Director, New Corporate Partnerships.

Throughout their career, Pettengill has demonstrated expertise in fundraising, grant management, foundation relations, and partnership development, particularly in the areas of nutrition, child hunger, supply chain and food rescue, innovation, disaster relief, and national policy and advocacy.

Elizabeth (Marquardt) Pettengill holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations with a focus on health policy from the University of Chicago. Elizabeth also has a Master of Divinity degree from the same university, with a focus on childhood studies, ethics, and counseling. Elizabeth completed their undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University, where they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with a minor in women's studies. In addition to their degrees, they obtained a certification in Nonprofit Leadership from The Allstate Foundation in 2019.
