Lisa Mayse-Lillig has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations. Lisa began their career as a Student Intern at Northern Illinois University, where they focused on organizing outreach programming and teaching G.E.D preparation courses. Lisa later worked as a Social Work Intern at Cook County Hospital and United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, gaining experience in community building and social work. Lisa then joined the University of Illinois at Chicago as a Graduate Research Assistant, working at the Interdisciplinary Center for Research on Violence. Lisa further expanded their experience by becoming the Managing Director of the Housing Division at Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights. Lisa's role in this position involved overseeing and managing housing initiatives. Lisa then moved on to serve as the Vice President of Programs at the Chicago Alliance to End Homelessness/All Chicago, where they led various strategic planning efforts and secured significant funding for homeless service projects. Currently, Lisa works at Feeding America, where they have held several positions, including Director of Economic Mobility and Senior Director of Public Benefits Access. In these roles, they have developed and executed strategies to ensure benefits enrollment and utilization within communities facing hunger. Lisa has also supervised teams, provided management support, and cultivated high-impact partnerships. Throughout their career, Lisa has proven to be a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable populations.
Lisa Mayse-Lillig completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at Northern Illinois University in 2005. Lisa then went on to obtain their Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Community Health and Urban Development from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2007.
