Kolina Koltai is an academic researcher studying the intersection of misinformation, sociotechnical systems, and decision making in public scientific controversies and scientific dissent. She primarily focuses on the information behaviors of vaccine hesitant and anti-vaccine groups on social media platforms. She received her PhD in Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 2020. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for an Informed Public at the University of Washington and a research fellow at the Center for Information, Technology & Public Life at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
