Michael Cunningham is an experienced sanitary engineer currently working for the City of Chicago since November 2017, with a concurrent role as an engineer at Fehr Graham - Engineering & Environmental since May 2016. Michael's expertise encompasses all aspects of wastewater treatment plant design, including process optimization, technical writing, cost planning, equipment sizing, and knowledge of IEPA standards. Prior experience includes an internship at the US Environmental Protection Agency, where Michael recommended significant waste reduction and energy efficiency measures. Additional roles include serving as Communications Chair for the American Nuclear Society's UIUC Chapter and working as a research assistant at the Center for Plasma Material Interactions. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nuclear Engineering, both from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
