James Detweiler

James Detweiler is a Vice President at Felicis. Prior to joining Felicis, James was an investor at Zetta, a venture capital firm in San Francisco focused exclusively on ML-native startups. At Zetta, James was a Board Observer at a Stealth startup using ML to improve developer productivity. He also led the charge formulating Zetta's investment theses in climate tech, TinyML, model fairness, and generative AI. Before Zetta, James was an investor at SVB Capital, the equity arm of Silicon Valley Bank, where he served as a Board Observer at Shield AI, Molekule, Proxy, and Ripcord.

James graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College with a bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematical Finance.
