Varun Manavazhi

Varun Manavazhi possesses a diverse background in film editing and scientific research, currently serving as a Film Editor and DIT at Felis Creations since September 2021. Varun's academic journey culminated in a BS-MS Dual Degree in Animal Behavior and Ethology from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, completed in 2020. Prior experiences include a Master's thesis at the Inkawu Vervet Project, focusing on vervet monkey behavior and data collection methods. Varun has also engaged in various research projects at IISER, encompassing topics such as humor in internet memes, vocalizations of wren-warblers, and gene manipulation in zebrafish. Additionally, Varun participated in a science film production course and delivered a TEDx talk on internet memes and society, highlighting a strong intersection of communication and scientific inquiry.
