Ian Ma

Ian Ma has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ian is currently working as the Co-Founder and CTO at Felix&Fido, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to this, Ian served as the CTO at Tribute from October 2021 to August 2022. Ian also worked as a Sr Startup Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from November 2020 to October 2021 and as a Sr Technical Program Manager at Amazon from May 2020 to November 2020.

Before their time at Amazon, Ian worked at eBay for several years, holding different positions. Ian started as a Software Engineer and played a key role in building SellerHub, a platform that improved the selling experience on eBay. Ian then became a Technical Program Manager and was responsible for driving customer growth and executing a new buying experience for the Chinese market. Ian was also involved in reshaping eBay's architecture to enhance marketing and customer relationship management systems. Ian'swork at eBay spanned from September 2013 to May 2020.

Prior to eBay, Ian co-founded Decide and Eggsprout. At Decide, they served as a Co-Founder and Software Engineer, playing a vital role in developing a product search system with a focus on price history, sales forecasting, and review summaries. The company was eventually acquired by eBay. At Eggsprout, Ian also took on the roles of Co-Founder and Software Engineer, working on algorithms for job candidate ranking and matching, as well as implementing a career graph for users to explore different job opportunities.

Ian's early career started with internships at Google and Siemens Healthcare, where they worked on various software development projects. Ian also served as a Student Ambassador Technical Representative at Microsoft.

Ian Ma attended the University of Washington from 2005 to 2009 and obtained a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Computer Science during that time. Ian also pursued a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Violin Performance (minor) from the same university, which they completed in 2019.

In addition to their academic achievements, Ian Ma has obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In August 2021, they received the AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty certification, and in January 2021, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification.
