Joseph Morecraft has been an educator for over 20 years. Joseph began their career as an English teacher at Cherokee Christian School in 1997. In 1999, they became the Chair of the English Department at Dominion Christian Schools. Joseph held this position until 2008 when they left to become the Chief Academic & Innovation Officer at Fellowship Christian School. Joseph also taught adjunct English at Appalachian Technical College from 2007 to 2007.

Joseph Morecraft achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in English from Georgia State University, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Literary Studies from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in English from King University.
