David Melms

David Melms has extensive experience in leadership and mentorship within collegiate athletics and ministry, currently serving as the Twin Cities Collegiate Director and Sports Chaplain for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes since August 2013. Key accomplishments include recruiting and training a successful field team, cultivating a positive organizational culture, and establishing strong partnerships with Athletes in Action. Melms has played a pivotal role in developing ministries at numerous colleges, pioneering student housing for life-on-life formation, and leading a cross-campus coach fellowship. Prior to this role, Melms held various positions including student programs coordinator, internship roles in financial services, and summer camp staff, all of which contributed to a robust background in leadership and community engagement. Educated at Macalester College with degrees in Economics and Religious Studies, Melms combines academic knowledge with practical experience in both sports and faith-based initiatives.
