Scott Reid

Scott Reid is the Co-Founder and Chief AI Officer at femtoAI, a position held since May 2019. Prior experience includes a role as a researcher at Stanford Brains in Silicon, where Scott developed algorithms to enhance the performance of networks of spiking neurons, and as a research assistant at the Geballe Laboratory for Advanced Materials, focusing on ion-beam nanopatterning and electron transport in charge-density-wave materials. Earlier experience includes student research roles at the Wechsler Computational Astrophysics Group, evaluating galaxy formation simulations, and at the Large Hadron Collider ATLAS Detector, searching for the Heavy Neutral Higgs Boson. Scott holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, both from Stanford University.
