Gert Berghmans

Gert Berghmans has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Gert'smost recent role, starting in January 2022, is as the Chief Customer Officer for APAC at Fenergo. Prior to this, they served as the VP Professional Services APAC from July 2018 to February 2022 and as the Director & Programme Manager Professional Services APAC from February 2016 to June 2018, both at Fenergo.

Before joining Fenergo, Gert owned Mastacopia BVBA, a company they operated from January 2007 to March 2016. Gert also worked as a Management Consultant at Projective from January 2013 to December 2015.

Gert has experience working in the financial industry as well. Gert served as the Program Release Manager/Program Test Manager at Deutsche Bank from January 2014 to November 2015, where they were responsible for release management and program testing.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, Gert held a position as the Program Manager at ING Belgium in 2013. In this role, they oversaw the Cobol Transformation program, which aimed to centralize and outsource Cobol development.

Gert also has experience at AXA, where they worked as a Project Manager from January 2009 to December 2012 and as a Project Manager and Consultant at Inno.com from January 2007 to December 2012. At AXA, they managed various projects, including a large AXA IT program that focused on delivering reusable business services within a SOA.

Earlier in their career, Gert worked as a Manager SW Engineering at EMC from August 2002 to January 2007, overseeing project management and delivery of new functionality and stabilization improvements in the Centera product.

Gert's career began as a Senior Consultant at Capco, where they played a key role in the development and delivery of a J2EE based application. Prior to Capco, they worked as an Application Architect at Tinc Associates, leading a study to define a strategy for integrating legacy systems with eFDP compliant systems.

Overall, Gert Berghmans has extensive experience in leadership, program management, and consultancy roles, with a focus on the financial industry.

Gert Berghmans completed their secondary education at Sint Jozefinstituut Kortrijk from 1985 to 1991. Gert then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Sciences at KU Leuven from 1991 to 1995.
