Fenix Finland Association is a non-profit mental health organization providing free psychological support to people who have immigrated to Finland. Our services are offered in clients’ native languages, supporting individuals during crises and challenging life situations.

Our work is carried out through volunteer-based operations, with the mission of promoting mental health, well-being, and successful integration into Finnish society.

In the past year alone, over 50,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Finland. Many are unable to return due to the destruction of their hometowns. People fleeing war face an urgent need for accessible, culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health support. Without timely assistance, their functional capacity may deteriorate, increasing long-term social and healthcare costs.

Between 2022 and 2024, Fenix Finland Association provided psychological support to more than 1,000 Ukrainian forced migrants, utilizing the expertise of Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking mental health and social work professionals living in Finland.

We offer a wide range of services to help immigrants navigate difficult life situations and build resilience. Our support includes individual counseling, guidance, peer support, group activities, and community events that foster adaptation, empowerment, and well-being in a new country and changed circumstances.

To date, the continuity of our work relies entirely on donations, as we have not yet received government grants or other institutional funding.
