Daniel Naim

Chief Executive Officer at Fennel

Daniel Naim has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Chief Executive Officer of Fennel Markets since June 2021.

Prior to this, they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Davis from September 2017. In this role, they focused on dark matter detection using time series analysis and cryogenic systems. Daniel led the design, operation, and analysis of local R&D particle experiments and developed custom software for signal processing and data reduction. Daniel published two papers and was working on a third as the first author, focused on high energy nuclear recoils.

Earlier in their career, they held a role as a Research Assistant at Berkeley Lab from February 2015 to May 2016. In this capacity, Daniel created an algorithm for 3D position reconstruction and worked on visualizing possible sites of interaction within anti-neutrino detectors.

Daniel Naim completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Physics from the University of California, Davis, from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Physics from the same institution, from 2017 to 2018. Before joining UC Davis, Daniel earned two Bachelor's degrees, one in Physics and the other in Astrophysics, from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2013 to 2016. In the earlier years, from 2011 to 2013, they studied Physics & Economics at the University of California, Riverside.
