Valeria Kogan has a diverse work experience in the fields of AgTech, biotech, cancer research, aging, and bioinformatics. Valeria is currently the CEO and Founder of Fermata, an AgTech company focused on AI-based solutions for plant monitoring in greenhouses. Prior to that, they were the Chief Innovation Officer and Founder of Fermata, and their role involved early disease identification, pest detection, and plant growth control. Before Fermata, Valeria was the Co-Founder of SmartOmica, a biotech start-up developing AI-based solutions for Personalized Medicine.
Valeria also worked as an Adjunct Scientist at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, where they contributed to research on retroelements' role in cancer and aging.
