Detris Lawrence

Detris Lawrence has over 15 years of work experience, starting in 2004 with the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta. There, they held the position of Workforce Project Coordinator/Community Liaison Officer, focusing on increasing employment opportunities for low-income families and organizing job readiness workshops. In 2006, Detris transitioned to D&T Marketing as a Marketing Manager-Trainee, responsible for developing and training a sales team, setting performance goals, and recording sales information. In 2007, Detris joined the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, starting as an Event Coordinator Assistant and providing administrative support. Over the years, they progressed to roles such as Meeting Services Specialist, Event Manager, and finally became an Event Coordinator. Detris's most recent role is the Client Services Manager at Fern Expo, which started in November 2021.

Detris Lawrence completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Video Production from The Art Institutes during the period of 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, from 1997 to 1999, they attended the University of West Georgia where they studied Mass Communication/Media Studies, but did not obtain a degree.
