Kristi Dominguez

Kristi Dominguez, Ed.D, currently serves as Superintendent of Ferndale School District No. 502 since July 2022. Prior to this role, Kristi Dominguez held several positions at Bellingham Public Schools from September 1994 to July 2022, including Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, and Director of Early Childhood Education. Kristi Dominguez earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Superintendency and Educational System Administration from the University of Washington between 2018 and 2021, as well as a Master's degree in Education from Western Washington University from 1996 to 1998 and a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Western Washington University from 1991 to 1994.

Ferndale Schools is comprised of one high school, two middle schools and six elementary schools serving approximately 4700 students in grades preschool through twelve. In partnership with parents and our community, the district will educate each student to develop the knowledge, skills and character necessary to lead a self-reliant, socially responsible life.
