Edward Taw

Edward Taw has over 20 years of professional experience in the fields of finance, business planning, and engineering. In 2019, they began working as the Director of Finance and Planning for Fernish. From 2016 to 2019, they were the Sr. Director of Finance/Independent Consultant for GOAT - Sneaker Marketplace, where they worked directly with the CEO and CFO on Series B and Series C fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and company’s key strategic initiatives. In 2015, they were a Consultant for 8020 Consulting, where they were the Head of FP&A for a mobile device company with over $150M in revenue. From 2013 to 2016, they were the Founder of Cloud Communications LLC, a mobile application company focused on international communications. From 2011 to 2013, they were the Director of Business Planning and Analysis for textPlus, a mobile messaging company with over 60M users. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Senior Associate for Mesirow Financial, where they worked on major restructuring and litigation engagements. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Senior Associate for Duff & Phelps, LLC, where they developed and analyzed over 40 valuation models for Fortune 500 companies. From 2004 to 2007, they were a Proposal Analyst and System Architecture Engineer for Northrop Grumman Corp. Finally, from 1999 to 2004, they were a Senior Scientist/Project Manager for Dynamics Research, where they designed, developed, and managed a $3 M dollar high-performance computing platform.

Edward Taw has a diverse educational background. Edward obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business in 2007, specializing in Finance and Strategy. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science from San Diego State University in 2003, specializing in Computer Science. Edward also obtained a Bachelor of Science from UC San Diego in 1999, specializing in Chemical Engineering. Additionally, Edward Taw has obtained an Anaplan Intermediate Model Building certification from Anaplan.
